Podiem was tasked with creating an event that would give leaders (from all sectors) an opportunity to step back from ‘urgent’ tasks and consider what is ‘important’ for them and their organisations. The challenge was, and is, to provide world-class stimulus that triggers fresh perspectives, disruptive thinking, new ideas and an impetus to act.
Elevate: The Outcome
Under Podiem’s management this event has grown from 150 attendees at the Ulster University Belfast Campus to 500 attendees at Titanic Belfast. Sponsorship, exhibition and ticket revenue have grown year on year and this has allowed us to attract world-class speakers such as Sir Christopher Bland, Rene Carayol MBE, Justin Urquhart Stewart, Dr John Teeling, Michael O’Neill MBE, Senator Padraig O’Ceideigh, Jamil Qureshi, Mark Gallagher, Mark Pollock and Paul McGinley. During the course of the 8 year growth plan Podiem has driven an event rebrand (from ‘Conference’ to ‘SuMMit’ signifying that the event is the pinnacle of Management Month) and a review of pricing to ensure the event sustains its stature is the biggest and best leadership event in Northern Ireland.
