Belfast City Council
Create and execute a six-month programme designed to unearth and develop 15 purpose and planet entrepreneurs in the city of Belfast.
Supported by Belfast City Council, the Cultivate programme successfully brought together 15 prestart and early-stage entrepreneurs on a mission to start and grow purpose-driven businesses that will have a positive impact on the planet, people and communities and help to avert the climate emergency (in its various forms). Over the course of six months, participants engaged in a dynamic and intensive experience that featured 4 momentum workshops and 2 large-scale summits. The programme culminated with a final pitch day session where participants were given the opportunity to pitch to a judging panel to secure a significant cash injection in their venture. Throughout the programme, participants heard from world-class speakers including John Elkington, Godfather of Sustainability, Dr. Chris Hines MBE, Serial Change-Maker, and Richard Shotton, Internationally Renowned Thought Leader.
Feedback from participants was exceptional, with many commenting how the programme helped them improve their confidence and focus on the positive impact they can have as an entrepreneur.
